About Charlie
Charlie      Before racing, I graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in ’92 and earned a BSBA in Management at Shippensburg University. I grew up around racing as my dad has always worked on racecars. Dirt track cars were the focus, mostly street stocks and late models. You might say the need for speed is in my blood. We spent every Saturday night at Winchester and every Sunday at Hagerstown.
     In college, I met my wonderful wife, Julie, and we took time to get married and buy a house…then we got serious about racing.  In 2000, we formed Pensinger Performance and attacked the local dirt tracks in 2001.  From ’01 through ’07 we competed in the enduro / hobby stock division at tracks such as Path Valley, Hagerstown, Williams Grove, Port Royal, The Rock, and Susquehanna Speedway Park.  The wins started in 2002, and we won at least one race each season through 2007.  We charged to our first Championship in 2004 in the Xtreme Stock division at SSP.  2004 was great for an even better reason when our son, AJ, was born in July. 

     In 2008 we graduated to the Hagerstown Speedway Pure Stocks.  By our standards, 2008 was a season steeped in learning, and low on success.  We plan to take those lessons and apply them to make 2009 a Pensinger Performance season to remember.

     When not racing, I enjoy spending time with Julie, AJ, and our family & friends.  We enjoy 4-wheelers, movies, hiking, and hanging with friends.  Favorite track is Hagerstown Speedway.  Favorite drivers would be three Jeff’s…Robinson, Friese, and Burton, along with Will Rowe and Alan Sagi.         

     We build our own racecars, but A&C Race Engines makes them fast.  Delco Signs makes them look great.  The crew and sponsors keep us going and our fans make it worth doing!
